My brother came to stay

My brother came to stay,

My brother came to stay,
but I had to turn him away
He would not put down his strong drink,
which caused Him to stink,
as he had already begun to sink,
He did not respect me for in my house
he brought strong drink
I would think my giving him a place to stay
he would do something
To help him put the strong drink away,
but he said he’d rather go away
This is a sad day that I had to send my
brother away
But in my house the drinking and drunkenness
can not stay
It is my house, Jesus house and these things
I must send away.
Drinking often goes with carnal living and is
classified as iniquity.
So I won’t take no part in it.

"Isaiah 22:13-14 says: And behold joy and gladness,
slaying oxen, and killing sheep, eating flesh,
and drinking wine: let us eat and drink;
for to morrow we shall die.
And it was revealed in mine ears by the LORD of hosts,
Surely this iniquity shall not be purged from you till
ye die, saith the Lord GOD of hosts."

And now that I am filled with the Holy Ghost
I must try and win my brothers soul,
but he told me straight up Hell No.
I got my rights and so I will go.

Christians are admonished not to drink lest
a brother be caused to stumble.
"Romans 14 :21] says:
It is good neither to eat flesh, nor to drink wine,
nor any thing whereby thy brother stumbleth,
or is offended, or is made weak."
But my brother this he can not see,
if I don’t’ start it I don’t have to finish it,
and so my brother walked out the door,
all I can do is let him go.
With out a made up mind, and a true desire to
stop I know one day my brother will drop
Christians forbidden to keep company with
drunkards. Not my words but the Lords and
who will I honor but the Father Jehovah God.
Paul brings this very clear when he placed it here.
"I Corinthians 5:11: But now I have written unto
you not to keep company, if any man that is called
a brother be a fornicator, or covetous, or an idolater,
or a railer, or a drunkard, or an extortioner;
with such an one no not to eat.:

So I opened the door and watched my brother walk
down the street.
Daily I pray the Lord his soul to keep and one day
I will look up again and my brother will be sober again,
as he ask King Jesus To come back in.

Pray that my turning him away I have not caused his to
keep in sin. He is older than me and he is after all
a grown man
