Strong Drink

Proverbs 31:

Give strong drink unto him
That is ready to perish
So say the word.

You should not be drinking
Strong drinks unless you are
Ready to die because it will
Kill you I tell you no lie.
If you are ready for suicide,
Then start drinking.
It will mess with your thinking
Your home and your job
It will take you from riches to rags
Have you carrying your clothes in a bag

Alcoholism is a demon spirit that
Tries to seep into your life
And it affects your children, and kills
Your wife, as it take away all of your
Means of a great life.

No man has any business drinking
There is no such thing as a social drink
Are you a sipping saint?
Or do you just straight out drink?
God doesn't get glory out of your
Drinking strong drink.

Drinking breaks your focus,
In the end it leaves you choking
Worst than when you are smoking
It causes you to loose your perception
And all connections of reality
Don't believe me,
Look around you
Do you honestly think it will miss you?

Deliverance is needed if you are involved
in any type of substance abuse, cocaine
crack, Mary Jane or even cigarettes
Some will bust your brain and drive you
Insane, while the other turn your lungs black
and you can't never get rid of that.

Are you ready to die?
What a question and why?
Straight up front I ask
Because of the bottle in your hand
Controlling you young man
Are you ready to die?
Don't tell me no lie.
Isn't it enough that you are getting high?
A double dose of anything that is not
The Holy Ghost will do you in.
All the things you are doing is causing
Your youth to end.

The strong drink won't let you think or be
That which you need to be.
Put it down, put it down
For it can only deceive you,
Now tell me are you ready to die?

"I wrote about ten of these while working with a few young people sometime ago. Since then a few have stop using. Proverbs 31:4-7 It is not for kings, O Lemuel, it is not for kings to drink wine, or for rulers to take strong drink, lest they drink and forget what has been decreed and pervert the rights of all the afflicted. Give strong drink to the one who is perishing, and wine to those in bitter distress; let them drink and forget their poverty and remember their misery no more Prov 23:20-24, 29 30-37 Be not among winebibbers; among riotous eaters of flesh: For the drunkard and the glutton shall come to poverty: and drowsiness shall clothe a man with rags. Who hath woe? who hath sorrow? who hath contentions? who hath babbling? who hath wounds without cause? who hath redness of eyes? They that tarry long at the wine; they that go to seek mixed wine. Look not thou upon the wine when it is red, when it giveth his colour in the cup, when it moveth itself aright. At the last it biteth like a serpent, and stingeth like an adder. Thine eyes shall behold strange women, and thine heart shall utter perverse things. Yea, thou shalt be as he that lieth down in the midst of the sea, or as he that lieth upon the top of a mast. They have stricken me, shalt thou say, and I was not sick; they have beaten me, and I felt it not: when shall I awake? I will seek it yet again."
