like everything digital, it lacks that magic in the low-mid frequencies. this guy is clever not to play a 4 or 5 note chord without lfo. i've had the real thing for 3 years and this is embarrasingly bad. CS80-v is probably arturias best product.

As a Jupiter 8 owner, I have to say, this is pretty darned good emulation. Well done guys. The sawtooth is very close to the original. I imagine the pulse is too.

Can someone please confirm what keyboard controller is used in this video? It isn't a CME VX5 as someone suggested. Which is it?

if people who think this software sucks, then please develop your own software. if you can't stfu!

interveneous, you are right. I OWN a Original jupiter 8, and I gotta say, im more concerned about my combination of musical notes than the little difference in quality of the sound. If I didnt have the original, I wouldn't knock the software just because it didn't sound exactly the same. At the end, the creativity of the music is what people listen too. Nobody is gonna say: "Eww, they used a soft synth in this song!!?? Then I'm not buying it then!!!!"

I dont think you should be so biased about software. Bear in mind most people can't have a real jupiter, so the software can work out alright. when you record onto a track, and finish the mix up with whatever tool you have, only the real jupiter owners will be able to notice the slight difference, and the 99.99999% of the rest of the world won't realize a difference.

a real musician may not even need a full size weighted keyboard.

I can understand the usefulness of computers in a professional studio enviroment for instance, but I never did take to computers well, because there is too many compatibility and trouble-shooting issues with pc's.
Too many things can go wrong in pc recording & keyboard workstations, with how advanced they are these days,is a much more efficient way of recording.
