You mean how the heck there's a young Harrison Ford interacting with a CGI Jabba? This was a deleted scene that never got used in the original movie. In this scene, Jabba was a "real" human man, not CGI at the time. I think Lucus originally planned for Jabba to be human, but changed his mind. How is Ford talking to a CGI character.....what they did was used a CGI Jabba over the human one, so Ford is really talking to the human Jabba.

@neroxero, I think that "Jabba, you'r a wonderful human being" was meant as sarcasm. That's why they left it.

i know this question probably gets asked a lot and people are sick of answering it .... but how the hell did they film this scene ?????

lol. they forgot to edit out the "human being" part. its just a horrible scene really. they said that they didnt have this jabba in the original because they didnt have the technological advances needed. but adding a crappy cgi version (versus the badass puppet one) and giving it a bad editing job absolutely doesnt make up for not having the right gear-in fact it just ruined the whole bit.

The scene COULD have been worthwhile and good. But he felt the need to give it cheesy music and make stupid "walking on Jabba's tail" jokes. If this scene had bee re-created properly, it could have been a good scene. I mean, it was cut out of the original because at the time Jabba was a fat human, but it also wasn't central to the plot. So because this recreation was done so badly, nothing of value was gained.

i hate this scene! totally unnecessary to the story. wtf is revealed in this scene that isn't already said in the greedo and han scene? just another lame excuse to throw some awful and unnecessary cgi onto our beloved trilogy!
