Just ested my ROde using big lving room speakers palying big jazz very loud...sat about 6 feet in front and tested all functions...reg level, dropped level, and bass cut, and I was blown away. The reg levels had zero distortion. I played it back on my mac using the great Tascam VS1 speaker system...and was completely knocked out. I am seriously thrilled.

This Mic is absolutely the best most well thought out Mic you can buy for Camcorders etc. ONLY trouble is the Hot show mount as, with all hot shoes can break easily. Wish they had spares.

would you recommend it for Nightclubs with heavy bass sound? my sony dcr-dvd108 built in mic gets the grrrrrrr distort sound.
