Love this song. I always liked the Herman's Hermits version, but didn't know until much later that it was from Ray Davies. Ray doesn't approve or disapprove of this fellow. Which sort of mirrors Ray's own life at the time. A family man, at the same time "spreading good cheer" to fans as he toured.
