set aside the tech -- the feeling this guy plays with is just f)(%)(&#(#_ unbelievable... this guy is connected to some sort of energy we can only hope to tap - just incredible.... I love Robin Trower cause of the feeling he gives his playing, but I have to be honest with you... no guitar player has ever made me cry except Stanley Jordan w/ "Over the Rainbow" ... whoa!! I agree with you 1000% thanks for all the post - he is just genius...

It's not that impossible. Of course my stuff is far from being that complicated, and I'll probably never get to that level with my 30 min of practice a day, but I find this way of playing quite intuitive. I can already play scales 16th notes at 120 bpm with my right hand.

Without a doubt, in my opinion. No one has this man's technique, creativity, vision, genius, or feeling (feeling more evident in his blues-jazz work, of course).

If you want to be absolutely blown away, check out his arpeggio work on "One Less Bell to Answer" -- unbelievable. I have it posted. Check it out and combat, please. And be well._Rich

This makes me want to throw my guitar in the fire. I've never looked at a guitarist and said, "I might not be able to do that one day". I practice 8 hours a day, I can sweep clean and play fast, but THAT? That's my new goal, i just hope i don't hurt myself.

How could anyone say anything against this guy or his music?
Quite simply some of the best guitar playing I've ever seen.

this is a true example of feel when playing the guitar.

According to interviews, Jordan invented his touch style in the early 1970s, not the late 1970s when Eddie Van Halen debuted.
