I don´t understand Liza either. If a man, and especially as kindhearted, loving and passionate as Prince Yeletsky and as maddeningly beautiful, charming and aristocratic as Mr. Hvorostovsky, said these things to me, I would take him no matter the cost and do all in my power to keep him for the rest of my life.

Did I previously mention here how WONDERFUL this is??? How can I believe that Liza doesn't feel anything for a guy that says these romantic things with such a sex-appeal and such a voice!!! Hvorotovsky ROCKS!!!!!!!!!! And this is for sure the BEST romantic aria EVER written for an opera.
