I hate these videos because I can't find ANY videos that have good bass drum tuning. If anybody finds a tuning bass drum video that sounds perfect please message me back.

The first two minutes were a waste of my life.

this is a good video but there is one very wrong thing here, take it or leave it... When you go to fine tune a head, batter or resonant... toms or kick... it is a bad idea to use your finger for pressure... i say this because when you go from lug to lug you naturally change your amount of pressure on the head and it gives you a different sound and you change the pitch, even if you think your not pushing harder. you are... so this video is a win but i highly DON'T recommend using your finger.

The key to achieving this kick sound is the chrome fish muffler.
kingsomething2008 (September 6th, 2009 @ 10:58 am)
not as low, because then it just slaps and sounds gay

all kick drums for rock SHOULD be tuned to their lowest possible. unless it's music like Jazz. then is should have a tone to it. otherwise, i've heard that the bass drum should be tuned as low as possible.
