WONDERFUL! This guy follows the rules of the masters! This is the same style of technique i have been always been taught! It is the BEST way to truly learn the secrets of becoming an artist! Proportions, composition, geometric shapes, harmony in the basic elements of drawing, rhythm and flow of the composition...and the grid pattern is useful in enlarging or reducing a photo or artwork! Great tutorial!!!

I'm no professional by any means, but I have been practicing drawing for a few months now. I still can't say I'm a great drawer, but I think I'm getting there though. Just keep practicing.

YES!!! Woo you had me scared at the begining because I HATE using guidlines "only used once and said never again" i was like "am i gonna have to learn guidlines?"

I think your breakthrough will come when you can reference the image you've stored your mind's eye. It can be like a computer screenand will improve with practice and focus. Right now, I bet you can close your eyes and call up a pretty good image of, say, an elephant. You can almost see that trunk and those big, stumpy legs with the big "toenails," can't you? How about those big ears and the snakey-y tail. Side view? Front view? Take your time. Close your eyes and "dial in" Elephant. No?

this is very helpful!!! my drawing problem it's that i can't draw things i imagne or are in my memory, i chose make copies very well :(

dbuch13 did you even finish watching the video? He said that it isn't the way you would draw a person in real life.

I'm willin to bet you didn't even finish the video. After he's finishes he says that's not the right way to do it and that's the layout for the "average" person.
