God! He's so right! This is what we have created with the Internet, a form of balanced Anarchy, where everyone is allowed to voice their own opinion and there is no belief system which is right or wrong. He had a very accurate prediction of the future. Now we can all be educated electronically.

The problem is 41,800 people have watched this but 59 million peole will watch Beyonce sing "Halo"??!!
The good/bad thing was the Anarchy shown across the internet during/ after the Iranian elections and the extent Communist China try to censor the broadcast of Tianeman Square massacre.

If he could have looked 25 years into the future and read a sample of typical comments on YouTube, I expect he would have despaired! Utopia? Don't call me a topia!

If you listen all the way through, you will find he is describing the very instrument we are doing right now- surfing and commenting on the internet.
And he said it in the 1980s.

It takes a little discipline- listen more than once.

Great speech.
But the love of power still stands. And people do need certainty.
True, everyone should ideally have things done their own way. But that is impossible in our world. It is a mess no intellectual can solve, because that is not the mindset we have. It is too complex, you're better off letting it go.
You cannot find a perfect system, because people are not perfect and never will be.

He lost me half way through, I just switched off and went for a walk in the garden. Maybe I'm not cut out to be an intellectual.
