There is a wire, that needs to be connected to the parking brake. if its not connected, that will be your problem.

when i try to play a dvd, it says "it's prohibited while driving"...im not even driving....its on park...my dad just got a new car, and this device was already installed when we got it, so i don't know anything about it.

there is a way to stop the demo from happening. read up in the manual.

Never buy HU as soon as they come out. It's good to shop around, do your own investigations. Lots of reviewing & Comparing. I wouldn't mind buying this HU. right now they going around $225.00-260.00 used
