Spoems - The Zen Mind

The Zen Mind

Back

This is real zen. It is a journey across Japan from the small zen centers of Tokyo to the enormous zen monasteries of remote mountains. It is a look inot the very private world of the zen mind - the mind searching for enlightenment. The superb Shakuhachi flute is by Christopher Yohmei.

There is no "Zen mind." Zen is 'no mind." Any mindset, and "in search of" is mind and anti-Zen. I have no use for this. This is monasticism' This is monastic mind. The mind has found somewhere to hang it's hat; something to identify with. It is not Zen.

Wow I just want to say there is a lot of arguing giong on. From what I know about Bhuddism and Zen isn't it about peach and harmony? Why is there so much discord when we should be trying to achieve harmony. I have personally been to Bhuddist temples in Japan and there is such a feeling of peace. I'm not saying I know everything, thats just some of what I know. Nice music too!

It's the internet, the easiest place to lay down your opinion or blast someone else's.. and some can't resist. And Zen is really not about Peaches.. it's more Melon shaped.

Zen Koan: Nan-in was visited by Tenno, who, having passed his apprenticeship, had become a teacher. The day was rainy, so Tenno wore wooden clogs and carried an umbrella. After greeting him Nan-in remarked: "I suppose you left your wooden clogs in the vestibule. I want to know if your umbrella is on the right or left side of the clogs." Tenno, confused, had no instant answer. He realized that he was unable to carry his Zen every minute and quickly went back to youtube to spell peace correctly

This is the last comment I will send you, because it seems I cannot argue with one who Knows so much. If you are as smart as you make yourself out to be why not do somthing usefull with your time instead of posting racist comments on youtube. Lastly please croscream do the world a favor and develop a hobby other than making yourself look foolish on a public internet sight on a daily basis. ^_^
