I'm as working class as they come, the old man was a docker and all his family were. I found this and don't see the point of your argument What are you apppear to say is the working class should not be exposed to this or it will erode their 'Mary Poppins' like charm either that or the working class are too stupid to appreciate music like this. Everyone is an individual and if you don't realise that it is you who are the elitest.
