Michael Jordan 2002: 35pts at age 38 Vs. KG's 'WolvesBackWhat more can be said? Yoda Mike here basically abused All-First-D-prime-KG like he wasn't even there. 5-7 possessions in a row with KG trying to guard him, MJ just ran around him, through him, mind-faked him and shot over him as if it was KG who was about to turn 40 years old. With 26 pts on 59% in the first half on KG and the 1st place Wolves, MJ showed that once again, the elite 'bigs' raised his game even at a grandfatherly stage. Too bad for us fans in the 2nd half, the Wolves gave up on KG and stuck Wally on MJ which perhaps made him tone down his aggro zone and may have kept him from reaching 40 points. Luckily for the Timberwolves, Billups could not miss from anywhere and his long range blitz was just too much at the end. But the embarrassment was already done on the individual end by MJ in the first half which overshadowed everything in its path. (Edit: MJ had 4 assists here, not 6 which is a typo.)
