Another highlight of the Nagano 1998 Olympic Winter Games closing ceremony. The Olympic Flag (オリンピック旗) is taken down and carried away by eight men of the Japanese Self-Defense Ground Forces. Along the way, it is raised temporarily to Emperor Akihito and is seen by a contingent of people from Salt Lake City, before it exits the stadium. The Olympic Hymn used here is the same as the opening ceremony.
