This is a wonderful movie. I couldn't recommend it more highly. The Richard Gere version doesn't compare. This original Japanese version is far superior.

Beautiful movie. I saw the American version at the movies and told my boyfriend I thought I had seen it before. He thought I was mad :) then I figured out I had seen the Japanese version first! And I prefer the Japanese one I think.

Yes, this is a great movie. I liked it much better than the American version! We compared both of them in a Japanese class. It was very funny!
