hey Congress, thanks for giving our country away!

You say its unconstitutional yet, "plan to vote for it"? You sir should be impeached. It is your responsibility to NOT VOTE for unconstitutional bills. Period. Grow show balls, just becuause party leadership wants it doesn't mean its right.

He also apparently thinks homosexual people are the spawn of Satan and should be shoveled into furnaces lest they corrupt the virtuous.
So in short, I like some of his economic policies, but his interventionist social policies (trying to enforce one sect of one religion's ideas of social behavior on everyone else) would keep me from supporting him with a good conscience.

I like his principles, and he's more like the kind of Republican I approve of, but I disagree with him in some key ways.
For one thing, while it may be that Amtrak/MetroRail is getting handouts, I'd argue that those system do provide public goods (reduced pollution, increased development) that to some extent justify operating at a deficit.
Additionally, his stance on abortion is way too radical: a Palin-esque "no morning-after pill in the case of rape" position.

Maybe if people would actually listen to why he stated he had to vote for the bill, they may understand things a little better. For years upon years, congress has done nothing to fix the main problems that caused this financial mess. Because of that he is forced to vote for the bill in order to provide a solution, albeit temporary. At this point we are so far into this that the only thing left to do is to treat the symptoms before they can tackle the origins of the mess, if they choose to.

Now I may b a democrat, but this is music to my ears...yes! congress is responsbile more than the president for what happened!

Both Congress and the President are responsible: Congress for exceeding its Constitutional authority and creating this mess, and the president for not vetoing the legislation that made it possible.

"I plan on voting for this bill..."
Is that the music you hear that leads you to say you will vote for Coburn?

The American Dream died when Mothers raised children like you. You should be afraid....it gets really HOT where you're going. Talk about a nightmare, yours may not be starting but I would rather be me than to have to live your life wondering when my nightmare was going to come like a theif in the night and never look back.....
