T Rex Reptile: Presented by SadieBackhttp://t-rex-effects.com From the T-Rex Website: The Reptile is loose. T-Rex Engineering is pleased to announce a new addition to our renowned family of delay pedals. Offering classic T-Rex tone and unsurpassed performance for price, the T-Rex Reptile joins its big brother Replica as the delay of choice for musicians who accept nothing less than the best in sonic craftsmanship. Fully grown from birth. Reptile might be a baby brother to Replica, but its is anything but a "Replica Lite" when it comes to features. It boasts all the controls youd expect from a classic delay pedal and even has a set of Flutter controls for getting that cool, retro tape-delay sound. As youd expect from a T-Rex pedal, Reptiles controls are intuitively laid out to keep you always on top of your delay, even in the heat of on-stage performance. This baby bites! With Reptile, weve managed to deliver extraordinary sonic value for money. But don't let this units smaller price tag fool you. Reptile is a monster pedal that delivers more variations of gorgeous, classic-sounding delay than you find in any other pedal in its class. Plug it in and try it out. But watch it! This baby bites! How I recorded this clip. Those amps sounded pretty good, eh? Well, guess what? There were no amps in the recording process at all. In fact, I don't think there was anything 'analog' except Sadie, me and the Tele. Yup. Oh, I did go from the pedal to a PRS/Waves interface and then to an M-Audio Pro Fire 610, if that counts. The amps you're hearing are the brilliant work of Swedish software engineers, Softube. I used their 'Vintage Amp Room' inside Logic to pull a Twin and JCM 800, both with a '57 in front, or thereabouts, of their respective speaker cabinets. To polish the sound a little I stuck the Waves Maserati GTi plug-in (every home should have one) over the output strip to keep levels in check and add a little life. The Reptile? It's digital, too. So it makes no difference. None at all. What works, works. And this all works quite well, thanks. :) However, in a live situation, I'd choose this pedal, whichever guitar I fancy on the day (with Mick Brierley's pickups, of course, and a valve amp.
