This is a great tune written by Michael Jary for the musical "Karneval der Liebe" (Carnival of love), which reunited Dora Komar and Johannes Heesters, the stars of "Immer nur Du". This time they play a divorced couple who co-star in a big musical only to find out there is still some love left... It was an elaborate musical with big production numbers and songs such as "Durch Dich wird diese Welt erst schön", "Junger Mann", "Hokus Pokus" and "Das Karussel" with the very "swinging" music of Michael Jary. In fact, propagandaminister Goebbels was so infuriated by Jary's "American" music, that he instructed the music not be mentioned in the press reviews of the movie. The scene stealer in this movie is the delightful Dorit Kreysler (Austria-Hungary 1909- Austria 1999) as Kitty, the dancer/singer to whom J. Heesters' character is engaged... They sing this song briefly in the movie and it later became known as "Haben Sie schon mal im Dunkeln geküsst (Have you ever kissed in the dark?)". Others in the movie include Hans Moser and Evelyn Künneke as a dancer/singer. Pictures of the stars of the picture and 2 lobbycards and a picture of Michael Jary at work.
