Powermac G4 - Mac OS 9.2.2 and Mac OS X 10.5 Performance

Back

Though the specifications of this Powermac G4 are slightly below that of Apple's system requirements for Mac OS X 10.5 Leopard, it still has decent performance. The specifications of this Powermac G4 as also shown in the video are the following: Processor: 400MHz PowerPC G4 Memory: 448MB PC100 Graphics Card: AGP NVIDIA GeForce 6200 256MB Harddrives: 10GB ATA (Mac OS 9.2.2 Installed) and 30GB ATA (Mac OS X Leopard Installed) I know in my previous video it showed a much greater processor and less memory. Well the reality is the processor was really a joke (You can obviously see that as there's no such thing as a 3.71GHz G4) though I was curious really what the reaction would be. It was also easy to make it display 3.71GHz through Open Firmware, you can make it any speed under 5GHz I've found. Also the extra ram is because an older computer I was throwing out had a good 128MB stick of PC100 ram so I saved it for my Powermac. To see how I installed Leopard: http://lowendmac.com/osx/leopard/openfirmware.html My previous video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T1a-neHZ4O0 (You may view performance with Mac OS X 10.4 Tiger here) Enjoy!
