Part 1 of video's about diodes. In this video you can see different types of diodes and the most important characteristic of a diode: it conducts current only in one direction. Also important: on the junction of a diode there is a certain capacitance. Changing the voltage on a diode changes the capacitance. If you connect 2 diodes with the cathodes to each other and connect this combination parallel to a coil and put a changing positive voltage on these cathodes the capacitance changes. This means that the resonance frequency of the coil changes. So you can tune the coil on a certain frequency.
