It's unexpected. Alanis' body of work is anything but comical. She's usually deep and introspective. She's poking fun at her own seriousness by remaking "my humps". She's showing another side of herself. Showing she has a sense of humor and having fun.

soooo funny! it really makes you see how empty this song is, how could the bep start with a song like "where is the love?" (which has a very different message) and then come up with this?? By the way, alanis is a great actress, don't you think?

I can see Alanis making this video as a response to a nagging thought she's had... "What has the music industry become?!?!" I truly hope people don't miss the irony and sarcasm in this video...
