No he doesn't shit on Holland. He wouldn't go on if he was really a fucking musical anarchist. He'd still be playing indie/punk toilets to 50 people. I love the Fall and I fucking love Smith but don't be a wanker. Are you one of these middle aged punks with a green mohawk that never really moved on from the UK Subs, dead Kennedys etc.

I honestly cannot believe that anyone would come on here and say Mark E Smith was a 'rude arrogant bastard' as if it was news and as if that weren't pretty much the whole point of The Fall as a decades-long experiment in musical deconstruction. You might as well say you'd met Hunter S Thomson and found him to be eccentric.
