good job on those relays...even though we all know that Bronze would've gone to the USA

A relay is a team event. It's about both individual speed and good handoffs, not just speed. Saying the USA would've won the bronze if they hadn't dropped the baton is not really any different from saying Japan would've won gold if they had run faster. The individual members of the USA team may have been faster but the Japanese team had far superior handoffs. The better team won the medal, and that's all there is to it.
