I personally don't find it interesting. I find it trite and boring. romantically tragic is a really overcooked and boring schtick. people still love it though, clearly.

True, romantic tragedy, as you word it, is boring. However, Korine never pretends to be so or any other kind of intentional pretensiousness (sp?). In some interview somewhere, I believe he said he doesn't knowingly exploit or aim for a grand tragedy, simply (paraphrase) films images and characters he would like to personally see. His comments on his drug abuse don't seem to martyr or beg for sympathy, just distant memories of his recklessness

Never, ever a dull moment with Harmony. Seriously. The 5 or so minutes captured in this video prove HK is incredibly entertaining to just listen to, as he rambles on about his film experiments, drug experience, etc.
