I saw this AMV parodied on AMV Hell (1 or 2?) and thought I'd check it out. I must say UN-FREAKIN'-BELIEVABLE!!! This AMV shows why Queen and Evangelion are both considered Zeniths of their genres.

I'm not feeling queen and evangelion, they're both great but not together.

It's an odd choice, certainly; and I wouldn't think a traditional AMV with these two would work. I don't think this one's really telling a story, though; I think it's using the Evangelion clips to provide spectacle in accompaniment to the music, and occasionally dishing up an emotional hit from what we know of the series - more like a traditional music video than the standard AMV. Normally that would be hit-or-miss, but in this case, I think it works tremendously well.

this video shows/reminds me what an amazing voice freddy mercury had. it's a damn shame he and queen aren't around anymore to blow us away.
