Jupiter Impact from Mount Wilson ObservatoryBackOn the night of 25th/ morning of 26th of July 2009 I was at the Mount Wilson observatory and got a chance to see one of the most impressive sights of my life! The impact scar of a impact on Jupiter (not the first Ive seen, I saw Shoemaker-Levy hit it back in 1994), but being given the chance to see such a scar through a 60 inch scope under good seeing is a once in a lifetime! I had to share this! Many thanks to Carnegie Mellon Alumni Association and the Mount Wilson Observatory Staff for making this possible. For the nerds of you out there. Hubble used this scope a lot too!
