I'd have to agree with you on that. Everyone keeps comparing this to Janis Joplin's actual version. I mean, it's a tribute, you know. It shouldn't be looked at as a competition. As long as you could feel and move to the song, it's great.

That's Jimmy Page and John Paul Jones at the very beginning!

Wow....thanks for sharing...Well then God bless her. A true singer is own who can deliver the emotion through her voice. Melissa is a rare one indeed

It's a shame that some people can't realize how truly amazing that performance was. Joss was really good, and Melissa was just amazing. What a great rock voice. She has a cooler voice than most guys in today's rock bands. Even right after chemotherapy, Melissa can kick the hell out of a song. Janis would have been proud. A great performance shouldn't be perfect, it should be emotive...it should move you. Just as it did to the audience that night, who were all on their feet.

nycgirl69, Melissa said that the 'scream' was a total release for her after all she'd been going through. At the 3:15 point in video.. she rolled her eyes, cuz she said it was the first time she actually heard what she was saying and how true it is with her and other women fighting through Breast Cancer.
