Talented musicians, it's great to see video of them. I need to order a best of compilation disc for Christmas.

This song is a gem, a longtime favorite of mine from 1960s underground FM radio station WBCN. It's a treat to see this video clip. Thanks for posting!

Richard is an overlooked American genius. A double threat as a singer/hammerer and a novelist. Mimi, has all of her sister's beautiful voice and great taste in song selection.

BillPerks, I'm glad to learn more about origins of the hammer dulcimer. Totally different technique to play it than the mountain dulcimer (which I heard mentioned since I posted here yesterday, and it was called "appalachian").
To answer your question of today under a thread above that began 7 months ago, the show was almost surely not commercial TV. On one of these videos the 3rd guy (Pete Seeger) acted as host and joined in with his guitar & voice. "Educational" TV '64? Mimi was 17 in 1963.

LEARN,LEARNING,TO LEARN,TRYING TO LEARN...
Point/Counterpoint. As the Great Canadian SONGSTRESS- one Ms. JONI MITCHELL has Clearly Verbalized, with her simplicity from Her 'Rasing-Years' on the Canadian Praries "The Business/Industry is far too centred on PROFIT and High-Margin Growth, while "Minimizing" the ART and Pure MUSICAL Aspects...of the CRAFT"
Apparently,Too Many Musical-Thespians and "Tunesmiths" are centering on the Ease of LIFE-STYLE as opposed to The WORK of Composition!

Would Anyone Care to "Fill Us In"? THE B&W Video ...was it recorded on an 'Early Morning Show', in the BAY AREA...in the "LATE '50s'?"
OR WAS it an Early version of "The JACK PARR SHOW"? (He was a Contemporary of Lloyd Thaxton.)
IF YOU Know...Please Fill-Us IN! OKAY!

YEAH! RICHARD FARI`NA and MIMI-BAEZ FARI`NA!
A Truly Great Folk DUET from the Late'50s-1960. There will Probably Be a WHOLE LOT of Philosophical Discussion, analysis,Opinion, dissent and Praise...that will go along w/ this "SELECTION"!
