Cris WIlliamson - Retrospective

Back

Decades before indie labels were the norm, and years before women had any real access in the industry, Cris Williamson was busy changing the face of popular music. A priceless and inspirational Retrospective.

Thanks! I'm a gay man who's loved your music and that of other womyn singer/songwriters. Take care!

Unreal...takes me back and keeps me moving forward. Thanks for posting. I am sad though that it appears as if Cris got cloistered in the "Women's Music" category. Bless her heart.

Yes, the album is a portal back ... Chris Williamson changed my life. She changed how I thought about myself and being a lesbian. She was part of the very fabric of my life. I've seen her in concert ,oh 10 plus times. Each time was magical

That last messege from my suchatreasure channel was for Juneseventh. She had this vid on her channel, and I thought it was one of her tributes she's famous for. I'm glad to see you are finally on you-tube.I use to search the search engine for you when I was more active on here. If you'd put Sweet-woman up,and a link to purchase your CD's I believe you'd get a whole new generation of women enjoying your music as I did!xo SweetWoman!-Patti

Wow hon;I havn't been around for a while, but still can't believe I missed this! I had a radio show in the 70's and found an album by her before Olivia records existed. It had one song,"Johanna "that I used to play on my show. Then Olivia happened, and I was so thrilled not to have to search through the radio stations music library every week to find women oriented music. The changer and the changed in particular was such a trailblaiser! Wish she would make her music more available. Glad you did!xo

Cris, knowing how important your music has been to so many women, I hope you also know that it's been just as important to many of the straight men (like me)who've followed your career and your music. It's been a human journey. Thanks so much for sharing your talent. John
