BillyL96 Yea... William Holden deserved the Best Actor award too. He did get a nomination for it. Lets not forget Sidney Aaron 'Paddy' Chayefsky who deservedly won the Best Writing award. Without him these gre@ actors wouldn't have had a such a brilliant script.

tcidolfan It's one of only two movies to ever have won three Academy Awards for acting. It is a phenomenal piece of work. It cost me £18 to buy it on dvd. The shop had to order it too, (I wasn't online shopping @ the time). Pity it's not in the 'bargin bins' and getting seen by more people.

Oh yea...the long running "Presidency Program" with the "Special" th@ gets knocked out every four years. I doubt th@ the character Howard Beale would have run for presidency even if he'd had the opportunity. He would've seen the futility in doing so...he was mad, not insane ;∙)

it's also greedy, insane, and will stop at nothing to at some point END and kill everyone and everything in the name of greed! while only those who are left fight for the last coin!
