Candice Bergen, Peter Boyle and James Caan. "Dear Mom & Dad, Have gone to Chicago to seek fame and fortune. Don't wait up. - Love, T.R. " Quirky, sardonic, yet girl-next-door T. R. strives to make it in Chicago, but make it as what? Splendidly written by Peter Hyams, beautifully played by Bergen - Herbert Ross gives us another gem that is one of the most criminally neglected films of the 70's (Puzzle of a Downfall Child anyone?). Great performances by everyone. We all have a little T. R. in us, and it's the part to cherish most. This is the best copy I could find, but it's definitley worth it. With Marcia Rodd.
