if I was a chick I would bang him. Thats how sexy he is. This song reminds me of dead alive. I love how he portrays people as a mindless mass of zombies eating others alive just to get in the front of the line and get things like "coffee" Reminds me of the poor basterd that got Trampled to death at Wallmart on Black Friday. Man he's so damn good.

so you are telling me that is a white man named john darnielle at the end sining? why does he sound like fat black chick?

How on Earth does John Darnielle sound like a "fat black chick" - as you put it? Search the Mountain Goats. Listen to a song by them. I hear no "fat black chick".

um yeah just listen to it. i swore it was aretha franklin singing that last part. if i would have never watched the video i would have been 100% convinced it was a black woman. i cant be the only person that thinks it sounds like a fat black chick singing. anybody out there agree with me? im not saying i dont like the song, aesop rock is the man. the verse at the end is just weird being a white man that sounds like a black chick singing from the 50's or w/e.

Are you serious? Wow, that's a comparison I never expected to happen. John Darnielle and Aretha Franklin. Just, wow. Honestly, I think you've got to be on your own. I'm astounded how you even managed to confuse the (albeit ever so slightly whiny, though I still adore him) voice of John Darnielle and the Queen of her respective genre Aretha Franklin. This isn't criticism on your behalf, I'm just flabbergasted as to your conclusion.

i guess i just dont know this john darnielle guy as well as you. when i first heard this song i was like "man that part at the end with the chick singing is my favorite part." then i watched the video and was dumbfounded lol
