At a rally last week in Tel Aviv calling for the release of IDF soldier Gilad Schalit, held in captivity for over two years in Gaza, Israeli singer and songwriter Aviv Geffen sung a new song written especially for Gilad, called Everybody's Child. All the the proceedings of the song said Geffen will be donated to the campaign for Gilad Schalit's release. Audiotape courtesy of Helicon Records. 07/2/7/08

I spent service in the strip looking for him he was just a tank boy 0-5 he didnt deserve it he didnt do anything and prob wouldnt have to anybody and they took him cause he was eASy to grab we spent much time lookin for him to no result I pray not but I think hamas did what hizbullahdid and shipped him to Iran last time they killed them and told us nudn they got they want attack Iran they are the long arm of Hamas, Islamicjihad,everyday I found pro Iran things in every terrorist hole

If we could only liberate him. If we could go there and get him out and carry him home on our shoulders, to Israel, and to his mother Aviva and to his father Noam. We would cry all the way home for joy. Yes, Gilad is a true part of our heart. Dear friends, let us pray him home, let us pray!

I praise that our songs are so life-affirming in contrast to our canine enemies, but one day we'll have to stop this song-singing every time one of our soldiers is kidnapped and play dirty with the bad guys.
