All the songs you listed by Dream Theater are their old stuff. Their recent material IS in fact, considered Progressive Metal.

insteresting. arn't really metal? I suppose one could argue. I would consider them to be symphonic metal as they play concerts with full orchestras but...whatever

They have played live with orchestra once, at 20th anniversary concert "Score". Orchestra features on 8th studio album Octavarium as well. Nothing else. Dream Theater certainly have metallic aspects but they are much much more progressive rock. Listen to Metropolis/Learning to Live/Trail of Tears/Hollow Years/Home/Through Her Eyes/Six Degrees of Inner Turbulence for a few examples.

i love how the keyboard hopelessly plays throughout the ENTIRE song yet you can only hear it less than 1 minute of the total time hahahha same with almost all keyboards in metal bands
