The left-hand makes it magical. Must be difficult to get right as even the best players I've heard on Youtube don't seem to use all the left-hand notes n chords that were obviously composed into this tune. Makes all the difference to hear it played as it was intended. Love it.

It's hard to tell if he actually played it that fast. You can play a piano roll any speed you like. I don't think piano rolls were known for their speed accuracy.

Now it's great for everyone who learns this piece to play it at LIGHT SPEED, which is sometimes cool, but notice Joplin does not play it at LIGHT SPEED. Clips along nicely, but not as if he is attempting to raise his blood pressure by doing so. IMO.
