"Immortel" is based on Enki Bilal's graphic novels "La Foire aux Immortelsone" (The Carnival of Immortals) and "La Femme Piège" (The Woman Trap), the first two parts of the Nikopol Trilogy. The storyline could have been a bit more complex for my taste, and a little more character development wouldn't have hurt either, but I'll blame it on the fact that it's a comic book adaptation after all.
