Zacarias Ferreira: Amiga Veneno. Bachata, is a form of music and dance from Dominican Republic. Its subjects are often romantic; especially prevalent are tales of heartbreak and sadness. It is the Islands version of the Blues in America. This song was derived from an earlier Brasilian rendition, and has been beautifully infused with a guitar lead which is quite unusual to the Bachatas proper.
