We did a test with/without a weight pressing down the beans in the mini hopper to se if grinding time and grind fineness would be affected. Test 2, with weight - parameters and result: -------------------------------------------- Bean weight: 500g Beans in mini-hopper: approx. 30g Grind time: 2.8s Resulting ground coffee: 12g Tamp pressure: approx 5kg Extraction time: 20s Resulting volume 4.5cl Comparission result: Adding a 500g bean weight halfed the grinding time. But more - the ground was much finer ground with the added weight! So even though we only got 12g of ground coffe, and tamped much lighter we only got 4.5cl in the same 20s!
