most conductors play a bit earlier so that the orchestra may follow. It's harder for an orchestra to stay perfectly in sync when directions are given in spur of the moment type of settings. the orchestra is actually in perfect tune- amazing, isn't it?

this man had a passion for music, I think he would had used any chance to be in this "expensive" kind of music. Otherwise he would have been a general, with this passion. But he didn't kill or hurt people, he did what he loved ... conducting beautiful music...

doesn't make it sound any better. u know he was slavic so it is not even like heidegger - nazi alone is bad enough, but becoming a self hating slav nazi for the sake of following the crowd is even worse.
