Toilet Exploitation - Brazil

Back

November 2007 Much of Europe's toilet paper and tissues come from Eucalyptus plantations in Brazil. But indigenous tribes claim their land is being stolen to make way for these plantations. "This is a fight to recover our territory", states the tribal chief. He claims the cellulose manufacturer, Aracruz, seized their land in violation of Brazil's constitution. "We've lost our healthy lifestyle. Since the eucalyptus trees invaded our village, everything else has been smothered."

Just visit south america, you would know how much a very small proportion of white europeans exploit a large swath of population

LouisianaGatorGirl, Oh, good suggestion. I'm sure the land will be given back to the Indians - just like in America.

Apparently, you're unfamiliar with the saying that if you don't have anything good to say, it's better not to say anything at all. This is the second time you responded sarcastically to a comment of mine. Please don't bother sending replies to any more of my comments. I'm not going to waste my time reading them.

Hey LouisianaGatorGirl, I bet you are going to read this reply.

Gee, that's too bad. Thanks for the info. I really sympathize with the Guarani Indians and hope that their land will be given back to them.
