blakeman is so ridiculous in repeating the same nonsense about democracy etc. noone believes them anymore.. usa is the country that the rest of us love to hate. i believe most of us love american culture (films-music-books etc) and hate american imperialism and militarism. usa has military bases all around the world. if that is not a military empire, then i dont know what is.

THE LATEST NEWS FROM IRAQ: Throughout all Iraq mass of people with open arms welcome American troops,offering candy , flowers and layer cakes invite them to their houses to socialize and to eat traditional meal.On the streets people exclaim slogan"occupation is good"."long live president Bush","resistance is bad",very touchy,I can't stop crying.

I meet Iraqis every day. Not one wanted the US to invade their country. Those who hated Saddam long for the 'good old days' Over 1 mil Iraqis dead, 5 mil displaced, infrastructure in ruins,education system (formerly the finest in region)in shambles, it's academics run out of the country. The "government" is a proxy of both US & Iranian fundamentalists. Iraqi women were the most free in ME - now they're forced to veil & hide in their homes. Yet some of u believe US invaded for the good of Iraq?
