You do realize you just completely missed the point of this right? You're the kind of person Mr. Curry is speaking out against. You have no reason to praise this poem, and you doing so is quite insulting.

This piece is AMAZING. However, it is my opinion that when used by "us" the word "Nigga" can and is often expressed as a term of endearment. In my opinion, although the word was created to slander and oppress, we have, as with the many other forms of hate and oppression, have made the word into something much more powerful than the roots of its origin. And although I may say "wassup my nigga", there exists love behind the phrase. And the rest is simply habitual... lol... *snaps* though.

Man, you don't get it. This guy is brilliant, nothing was said that shouldn't have been said. How often do you hear kids say that word, or hear it in songs daily? It comes off like the word fork or computer after you hear it so many times. That's why he gave you the history and kept repeating it. He wanted to change your point of view in the duration of that poem. He wanted to take you from the that jaded point of view where it's just another word, to cringing when he said it towards the end.

100 years LOL last time i checked it wasnt until 1968 since the jim crow laws ended in the US. And not even talking about all the surpression after that. and you can't say n*gger because you're ancectors probably werent enslaved degenarised and seperated for over 400 years.
