An Object within Flash CS3 is a thing - a thing that has attributes and can perform actions. That thing may be a ball bouncing in your animation or a dog barking. Well, he is trying to demystify AS programming, its true that many Newcomers get frustrated by the Lingo and sometimes "illogical" structures, he is trying to put it to a Regular level, but you are right, he cannot say "those Geeks at Adobe..." because he is a Consumer too, he is NOT one of the Makers... also id like to add that those "Geeks" are not trying to be "Geeks" like some people i know, or even Impress anyone, they are doing their Job, and they do an Amazing one!
