The RidgeBackThe Ridge is an old building foundation 15 minutes outside Baltimore that a group of kids cleaned up and made into a spot. I found out about this spot from Gary Smith when he moved back from California about 2 years back. He invited me down the city to skate one day and this was the warm up spot. The spot was so fun that we stayed the whole day there instead of going downtown. The Ridge has gone through a lot of growing pains over the time the locals have been skating it. I heard a story of the kids showing up one day and everything being gone. The people thought that would have been enough to drive the skaters away but I guess they were wrong. The locals have continued to build more stuff and turned this run down area into their own personal skate plaza. Big ups to the kids that put the energy to make that spot and for being cool when we rolled through. It is a fun time so if you are ever in the Baltimore area, stop in and check it out.
